Catherine Anne
ACatherine Anne O'Hara, OC was born March 4 1954. She is a Canadian-American comedian, actress, and writer. O'Hara has won numerous awards that include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award), two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was elected as an Officer of Canada. She was also awarded the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was first recognized for her acting in the year 1974, as a member of The Second City in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main cast in the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara, Candy, and Dan Aykroyd started work on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara received critical acclaim for her comedic writing and acting skills and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Writer for an episode of a Variety Series in 1982. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board which was headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
